REPLACE 2 Project Updates: 31st January 2014
REPLACE 2 current activities
The REPLACE 2 conference (Prevention or Prosecution? The Behaviour change approach to tackling FGM in the EU) registration is now open and can be accessed via the following link http://www.coventry.ac.uk/events/replace2 The team have confirmed Leyla Hussein, presenter of the channel 4 documentary ‘the cruel cut’, as a key note speaker, along with Norman Baker MP, Dr Els Leye and Ifrah Ahmed.
The 2nd Advisory board meeting took place on Monday 27th January 2014, we were joined by some very knowledgeable, experienced and influential members, from a variety of settings/ backgrounds. Many useful suggestions were made and the team at Coventry will be sharing these with partners and making a plan to implement these in due course. The next meeting is anticipated to be held in July 2014.
The 6th of February marks International Day of Zero Tolerance to Female Genital Mutilation. The REPLACE 2 team has lots of activities arranged around Europe and Coventry University will be releasing a press release on the day to disseminate all the partners’ activities.
