REPLACE 2 is being led by Professor Hazel Barrett and Dr. Katherine Brown at Coventry University. With a multidisciplinary team, they will be evaluating and implementing the REPLACE Pilot Toolkit with FORWARD UK and FSAN in the UK and Netherlands and gathering qualitative data from additional FGM affected communities via CESIE, Gabinet and APF.

Forward UK
FORWARD (Foundation for Women’s Health Research and Development) is an African Diaspora led UK-registered campaign and support charity dedicated to advancing and safeguarding the health and rights of African girls and women, in particular female genital mutilation (FGM) and forced and child marriage.

FSAN
The Federation of the Somali Associations in the Netherlands (FSAN) is a non-profit, non-political organisation founded in the Netherlands in 1994. 52 regional and district organisations in the Netherlands fall under the umbrella of FSAN. They have received funding from the Dutch government to address FGM and were actively involved in the development of the Dutch government’s Statement Opposing Female Circumcision.

CESIE
European Centre of Studies and Initiatives – is a non-profit, apolitical, and secular non-governmental organization. CESIE is committed to social, cultural, economic and educational change and development at local, national and international levels. As part of its activities, it combines participative innovative methodologies to involve target groups to tackle violence against women and children including all forms of FGM.

GES
The Department of Social Studies (GES) was founded in 1983 and is dedicated to investigating and promoting the understanding of social sciences applied to the world of work, the social, economic and demographic in social policy and social services. GES have conducted research, evaluation and training within the areas of immigration, poverty, exclusion and the world of work for various councils in Spain and for Catalonian Government departments.

APF
APF (Family Planning Association) is an NGO established in 1967 that works on Sexual and Reproductive Health and Rights in Portugal. It's mission is to help people make free and responsible choices in their Sexual Reproductive Health & Rights and to ensure access to high quality services and information in order to exercise those rights. APF promotes health, choices and rights for equality of opportunities and started working on FGM in 2000 in cooperation with UN agencies, research institutes and European NGOs in issues relating to women and children’s rights, sexual and reproductive health. In their advocacy role, they have produced a number of publications and tools addressing FGM, such as, ‘Mutilação Genital Feminina’ (Female Genital Mutilation, 2004) and 'Por Nascer Mulher…um outro lado dos Direitos Humanos' (Unborn woman, another side of human rights, 2007).

International Centre for Reproductive Health (Ghent University)
The main objective of ICRH is to improve sexual and reproductive health in its broadest sense. To this end, ICRH seeks to improve the acceptability, accessibility and quality of sexual and reproductive health services, and integrates a human rights based and gender sensitive approach in its analysis. One of ICRH’s main areas of expertise is sexual and gender based violence, including harmful traditional practices, such as FGM. Dr. Els Leye has published widely on the issue of FGM and is a member of the END FGM European Campaign advisory board. Dr. Els Leye was also one of the principal investigators for the European Institute for Gender Equality’s (2013) report on FGM in the EU ‘Female Genital Mutilation in the European Union and Croatia.’
